Welcome to Hecadee. These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which we provide our services. By booking or using any of our services, you (the "client") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

General

Hecadee provides house sitting, dog training, animal assisted interventions and clutter clearing services. All services are delivered with reasonable care and professionalism.

 

Damages

We will treat your home, pets, and belongings with care. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Hecadee is not liable for any accidental loss or damage.

 

Contact Details

Both Hecadee and the client agree to maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information for the duration of any booking.

 

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate services where there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions. Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.

 

Privacy and Data Protection (GDPR)

hecadee is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.

 

We collect and process personal information (such as your name, contact details, and booking information) solely for the purpose of providing our services.

 

We will:

  • Only collect data that is necessary for service delivery
  • Store your data securely
  • Not share your data with third parties except where required to deliver services (e.g. veterinarians or contractors) or where required by law

 

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data where appropriate
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

 

House sitting

Please read all Terms and Conditions before making a booking.

 

Access and Occupation

Where applicable, Hecadee is granted permission to occupy the client’s property solely for the purpose of delivering the agreed service. This does not create a tenancy or legal interest in the property.

 

The client must:

  • Provide accurate booking details
  • Complete the homecare agreement in sufficient detail
  • Provide keys, and have a spare set with a nominated person or in a key box
  • Nominate an emergency contact
  • Allow access to the property only with hecadee's agreement, except in an emergency.

 

hecadee must:

  • Only allow access to authorised individuals
  • Only allow access to authorised animals
  • Act responsibly with a focus on security while occupying the property

 

Care of pets

The client must:

  • Provide clear written care instructions
  • Supply all food and necessary items or reimburse costs
  • Cover vetinary or legal costs where required

 

hecadee will

  • Follow care instructions as far as reasonably possible
  • Prioritise the welfare and safety of pets

 

Care of property

hecadee will: 

  • Keep the property clean and secure
  • Respect neighbours and avoid nuisance 
  • Notify the client of any damage or issues promptly

 

Repairs and Emergencies

The client is responsible for costs relating to urgent repairs affecting safety, utilities, or security.

 

Cancellations (House Sitting)

0–5 days before booking: 100% charge

6–15 days: 50% charge

16–30 days: 25% charge

More than 30 days: no charge

 

Significant changes to bookings, such as someone staying in the house, or changing house sitting to dog walking, will be treated as cancellations.

 

Delays

We understand that delays happen. hecadee will continue to care for the home and pets until the client or a nominated person is able to take over. In some cases, it will be necessary to bring in a trusted replacement to accomodate the delay.

 

Reimbursement

The client agrees to pay hecadee, within 14 days of the end of the term of the agreement any reasonable costs that hecadee has incurred. hecadee will provide written details of the costs incurred, including receipts wherever possible.

 

Termination of agreement

hecadee agrees:

  • not to leave the home before the end of the house sit, except in an emergency
  • in an emergency, a trusted contact will assume responsibility
  • to give vacant possession of the home to the client or nominated contact person’s on the final day of the house sit
  • to return all keys and other security devices on the final day of the house sit

 

Dog training

Please read all Terms and Conditions before making a booking.

 

Booking and Payment

For courses, full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

For 1:1 training, an invoice will be issued once the training session is complete.

 

Participation and Safety

Participation is at your own risk. While we take all reasonable precautions, hecadee cannot accept responsibility for injuries or losses beyond our insurance cover.

 

Client Responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You are able to safely handle your dog
  • You maintain responsibility for your dog at all times
  • Your dog is suitable for the training environment selected
  • Children are supervised at all times

 

Equipment and Methods

Only humane training methods are permitted. Aversive equipment such as slip leads, choke chains, pinch or prong collars, electric collars, rattle cans or water sprays are not allowed. 

 

Extendible leads are not suitable for training.

 

All you need to bring is a standard lead or training lead of up to two metres, a good collar or well fitting harness and a variety of training treats or toys.

 

Health

If you or your dog are unwell, please do not attend. Attendance is at your own risk.

 

If your dog is in season, please call to re-arrange the training session.

 

Cancellations

For training classes a £15 handling fee applies. Refunds or transfers are not guaranteed since they depend on whether we are able to fill your place and availability.

 

For 1:1 training, there is no charge to transfer the date. Cancelling the session within 5 days will incur the full charge.

 

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please speak to your trainer as soon as possible. We will always aim to resolve issues promptly.

 

Media

We may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please let us know.

Animal Assisted Intervention

Please read all Terms and Conditions before making a booking.

 

Welfare of Animals

The welfare of all animals is paramount. We will:

  • Ensure animals are suitable, trained, and monitored for this type of work
  • Provide appropriate rest periods, hydration, and care
  • Remove any animal from a session if there are signs of stress or fatigue

 

Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Treat all animals with respect and follow handler instructions at all times
  • Ensure participants behave appropriately around animals
  • Disclose any allergies, phobias, or relevant medical or behavioural conditions in advance

 

Risk and Safety

While all reasonable precautions are taken, interaction with animals carries inherent risk. Participation is at the client’s own risk.

 

Hecadee will:

  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Ensure safe handling practices are followed

 

Suitability

Hecadee reserves the right to refuse or discontinue sessions where it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for participants or animals.

Confidentiality

We respect your privacy. Any images or testimonials will only be used with your consent.

 

Advice Disclaimer

We provide guidance and support only. All decisions remain the responsibility of the client. We are not liable for outcomes resulting from decisions made during or after our sessions.

 

Safety

You must ensure your premises are safe and inform us of any risks before sessions begin.

 

Scope of Service

We do not provide removal services. Additional support may require third-party providers. ​As hecadee are not valuers of art or other items ​​​of special value or rarity, clients are advised to seek their own valuations of any items.

 

Working Arrangements

Typical hours: 9:00am–5:00pm (weekdays)

Minimum booking: 3 hours

Breaks will be taken during longer sessions

 

Travel

Travel beyond 30 minutes may incur additional charges. Parking and travel costs will be added where applicable.

 

Payment Terms

50% deposit required at booking

Remaining balance due at the end of the session

Late payments may incur interest

 

Cancellations

If cancelled within 7 days and not rescheduled within one month, 75% of the fee may be charged.

Final provisions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Hecadee and replace any prior agreements.
